Intern of tallerBDN between October 2009 and January 2010.
Graduated from Pau Gargallo EASD in Badalona and majoring in Sculpture. While a student, she participated in two snow sculpture contests in Nayoro (Japan) and Breckenridge (Colorado), in group exhibitions in Badalona and in “Catalonia Crafts” in Barcelona. She is selected in 2010 to participate in the First Symposium of Youth Art in Caspe (Zaragoza) and holds her first solo exhibition “Si las almohadas pudieran hablar” (“If pillows could talk”) presenting her final project which she describes below:
“One day it occurred to me relate what my pillow would say if it could talk. I realized, however, that I could perfectly take advantage of sculptural art to carry this out and thus allow the audience to enjoy every dimension I wanted to convey. I could simultaneously play with what I enjoy most of sculpture: being able to touch and convey with touch what one wants, fool with the eyes and attract with texture. Each pad expresses a state that I imagine it has and I try to relate this state to a material.” (Lucía Retamosa)
